How is PRP Made?

Just as you might undergo a routine blood draw at your doctor’s office, we will take your blood and have it centrifuged to extract PRP.

The centrifuge is able to separate fluids based on their density, so it can identify the weight of PRP and separate it out from the rest of the blood components.

How Many PRP Hair Restoration Treatments Will I Need?

We suggest that our PRP hair restoration clients undergo at least 3 visits, about 6 weeks apart in for comprehensive improvement in hair growth. Once your hair has begun to grow back, we will want to see you once or twice per year to maintain the healthier, thicker hair.

What Can I Expect From PRP Hair Restoration?

At LV Plastic Surgery and Med Spa, we want our clients to be completely comfortable and at ease during treatment, so the first step we will take is to anesthetize your scalp so that you feel little to no pain during your PRP hair restoration treatment.

We then inject your scalp with an ultra-fine needle, delivering the PRP deep so it reaches the dormant or low-producing hair follicles where it will be most effective. The entire treatment will take around 45 minutes, so you will be able to return to your regularly scheduled activities once your treatment is completed.
